Driving is on the right. Roads are often unpaved and in poor condition; 4x4 vehicles are necessary for travel outside the capital. Temporary vehicle import requires a Carnet de Passages en Douane. Ensure you have all necessary permits for the regions you intend to visit.

SIM cards are available from Airtel and Tigo. Coverage is limited to urban centers.
