Entry Requirements

Tourists traveling to Cameroon must hold a valid passport and obtain an eVisa online before departure, as visas on arrival are not available at airports. Physical visas from an embassy are required for land or sea border crossings.

Health

Proof of yellow fever vaccination is strictly mandatory for all travelers aged 9 months and older to enter. Proof of polio vaccination is additionally required for travelers staying longer than 4 weeks.

Customs

Strict customs regulations apply to the import of goods. All professional equipment and high-value items must be declared.

Driving & Vehicle Entry

Driving is on the right. Road conditions are poor, and travel in border regions is dangerous due to security threats. Temporary vehicle import requires a Carnet de Passages en Douane. Insurance and local permits are necessary for cross-border travel.

Connectivity (SIM/eSIM)

SIM cards are available from MTN and Orange. Coverage is good in cities but limited in remote areas.

Safety

Exercise a high degree of caution due to violent crime and security threats in border regions. Avoid all travel to the Far North and border areas.
