Make sure you have your E-Visa printed out before you reach the Bo Waterside crossing, as the internet connection there can be extremely spotty. The road from the border towards Monrovia is mostly paved now, but keep an eye out for deep potholes around the Gbarnga area if you are driving yourself. I paid about $10 in small fees for local handlers, so definitely carry some extra Liberian dollars in cash.
