Do I Really Need Yellow Fever Proof for Rwanda Entry?

I am planning a trip to Kigali next month and was wondering if anyone has been checked for their yellow fever vaccination certificate lately. I heard the officials at Kigali International Airport are quite strict about the international health cards, but I wanted to see if anyone had a recent experience. Any advice on the health screening process would be greatly appreciated.
